Forecasting
Make sure you’re planning for the right future
Predicting the future isn’t easy – but it’s necessary if you want to stay ahead of the game. We have over 20 years’ experience developing forecasts to inform planning processes and major investment decisions worth billions of dollars. Our forecasts are always well-informed and credible, thanks to our domain expertise and market-leading econometric skills.
Keep your forecasts fresh
Most forecasting processes are based on methods developed 30 years ago, which makes them time-consuming and expensive to update. This lack of agility isn’t good enough when things are changing quickly. We know how important it is to have up-to-date forecasts at your fingertips - that’s why we develop innovative forecasting systems that refresh as changes happen. Our goal? To make fast, recalibrated forecasting the new norm.

New Zealand’s Tourism Forecasting Programme
We managed the New Zealand government’s tourism forecasting programme for more than a decade. During that time, we produced national and regional forecasts of international visitor arrivals, international visitor nights, international visitor spend, domestic visits, domestic visitor nights and domestic spend. The forecasts were produced using a combination of econometric modelling and industry moderation to exploit all of the available information.
