Events
We measure value in its broadest sense
Cities use events to enhance social and economic outcomes – and we’re at the forefront of measuring them. This includes our world-first online evaluation system – Event Economics – which makes it easy for cities to measure and benchmark event impacts. We look well beyond traditional financial outcomes to provide a comprehensive assessment of event costs, benefits, and return on investment.
Everything you need in one place
With over fifteen years of event experience, we’ve seen everything at least once. And during that time, we’ve evolved into exactly what our clients want – a one-stop shop for event strategy and analytics.
We partner with progressive cities to develop actionable event strategies – but that only gets them to the start line. Helping our clients through the next phase of building and measuring their event portfolios is where we add significant value. We use our in-house economics, evaluation, and market research skills to measure event outcomes – to help our clients can make well-informed investment decisions.

Event Economics
Event Economics is a cloud-based event evaluation system that we’ve designed specifically for host cities. It has been developed by event evaluation experts who have worked with host cities for more than 20 years. The evaluation framework is based on cost-benefit analysis, which allows non-financial effects to be monetised and included in ROI calculations. Event Economics makes pre-event evaluation quick and easy, and it guides you through the post-event evaluation process. For more information visit eventeconomics.com.

Evaluation of ATEED’s event portfolio
Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) invests in around 30 events each year, ranging from community festivals to major concerts and sporting events. We have been ATEED’s preferred supplier of evaluation services since 2011, which has required us to measure the economic impacts of more than 200 events to date. We design a bespoke research process for each event which involves a combination of market research, data analysis and economic modelling, all of which is delivered in-house. ATEED’s event evaluation programme is viewed as an exemplar within New Zealand and internationally due to its accuracy, consistency and longevity.
